Prevent Bug Bites The Natural Way

I enjoy gardening and being outdoors.  But, spending a lot of time outdoors has it consequences.  Mosquitos, ticks, and gnats can run me in the house.  Bug bites are painful, but the diseases that they may cause are even worst. Mosquitos can carry west nile disease, malaria,  elephantiasis, dengue fever or yellow fever.   Ticks can carry lyme disease, human anaplasmosis, babesiosis, ehrlichiosis and more.  As for gnats, they are just annoying as hell.

It is best to prevent being bite by the insects, to the best of your ability.  Most bug repellents are full of toxins and can be harmful to your health. When spraying the repellents in the air they can gag you on the spot and leave your skin feeling sticky.  But there is a alternative to the madness. A product that is god made and fully insured.

Olivine Health Professionals Neem Oil is 100% natural and cold pressed, it does not include petroleum, sulfates, or solvents.  I used it during gardening.  But, I must warn you.... Neem does not smell pretty at all.  It smells like a mixture of coffee and garlic.  I used it in my hair and washing out the smell was quite a challenge.  But despite that,  I did not get one bug bite and iowa mosquitos are vicious.  So the good outweigh the bad.

If you prefer to use a natural method instead of chemical filled bug repellents, you can find neem here

  1. At first the idea of a natural bug repellent sounded really compelling, but I'm not sure how I feel about smelling like garlic. However, I know someone who is totally into natural remedies and wouldn't mind that at all, so i should pass this info along to her!
