Playing Dress up is a fun activity for children. It allows them to open their imagination and explore, careers, lifestyles or dreams that they may aspire. I allowed all four of my children on an adventure to unravel the various looks that a black Derby could provide. Since my children range from ages 6 months to 15 years old you would be amazed at how many uses they found for the hat.
My each found their own individual look to go with the hat. A matter of fact with the looks my children selected, the hat seemed like less of a costume accessory.
My oldest son choose a hip hop look. He wore "nerd" glasses as an accent and dressed in all black. My daughter wore the hat in a more classic romanic look.
She tilted it at an angle so she could expose her braided hairstyle. She wore nerd glasses as well and all black. Her look appealed to the artsy perspective of the hat.
My infant could barely fit into the hat however, he enjoys it just the same. The hat complimented his Mickey Mouse onesie.
