Can you tell a story through the mere mention of songs?  Apparently Ahmir Thompson can take you through his life experience and set a mood through the mention of music.  Ahmir Thompson also known as Questlove the drummer of The Roots can make you feel the era, the words and vibe of his life as you channel through a variety of song.  When you listen to the story of Questloves life you understand why he is so cool.

Most hip hop novels glorify a tale of sex, drugs and rock & roll.   But, that is not what you get from Mo' Meta Blues there is no story of how a young man ran numbers with his grandpa, sold rocks on the corner or corrupted his neighborhood.   You will hear a story of how a young man was molded into a diverse artist. 

The story takes you through time and gives you a front stage view of collaborations and blossoming relationships.  Quest Love explains the miscommunication and how we almost lost hip hop.  He took me down memory lane a few times and made me feel as if I personally knew the artist he spoke of.   He is even humble enough to mention mistakes and when he sized someone up incorrectly.
