Arm & Hammer Pure Baking Soda

Arm & Hammer has been around for over 165 years.  It has been seen in almost every refrigerator to guaranteed freshness.  But, what does Arm & Hammer Baking Soda really do?  There are a lot of known and unknown uses for it .  You would be surprise at the versatility that a box of powder that cost less than $1 could benefit any household. Arm & Hammer Baking Soda can be used for baking, personal pampering, cleaning , freshening, and even for fun projects.

For Cleaning 


Spending a lots of money for products to polish your silverware is absolutely ridiculous.  Arm & Hammer Baking Soda can do a marvelous job of restoring shine.  By adding 3 parts Arm & Hammer Baking Soda to 1 Part water, you can create a paste that could be rubbed onto your silver with a damp cloth.  Thoroughly rinse your silverware and dry with a clean cloth.  Your silverware will have a luster like you wouldn't believe.  

Fruit and Vegetable Rinse are more prevalent since people have become more inclined to eat healthy.  Most vegetable rinses claim to remove the dirt, and residue from your fruits or veggies.  However, Arm & Hammer can provide the same service.  Simply , use a vegetable brush or clean sponge with a little Arm &  Hammer Baking Soda on it to gentle scrub away any debris and rinse.  Your fresh fruits and vegetables will be cleaned without the use of harsh chemicals. 

When caring for your pets, being sanitary is a serious priority.  However, you never want to use harsh chemicals when treating your pets.  Arm & Hammer can be used to give your dog a dry bath, clean your pets plastic and rubber toys, freshen your pets bedding and to deodorize your cat litter.  

Personal Pampering

Exfoliants are great for removing dead skin cells, and providing a smooth skin surface.  Well it is a little known fact that when Arm & Hammer is mixed with 1 part water and 3 parts Arm & Hammer Baking Soda it becomes a very gentle exfoliant.  Gently rub the paste in a circular motion , rinse well and plot dry. * Be sure to use caution around your eyes.  This same solution can be used to remove rough skin on elbows, heels, and knees.

Our feet are often confined to socks, shoes, or hosiery.  They tend to sweat, smell and get neglected. But, our feet are essential because they carry us through our day.  Why not try pampering your feet with a soothing soak.  Dissolve 3 tablespoons of Arm & Hammer Baking soda to a basin of warm water,  soak your feet and promptly dry them prior to putting on your socks and shoes. 

For A Fun Project


Children love molding and shaping clay.  For a interesting project you can create your own pliable mold with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda.

Ingredients
2 cups of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda
1 cup of Cornstarch
1 1/2 cups of warm water
*food coloring optional

Combine 2 cups of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and 1 cup of Cornstarch in a pan, add water and stir until well blended.  Bring to boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and pour into a bowl to allow to cool.  Knead when cool and store in a covered container.

*  if you would like to add  color, add food coloring to water.
