My family and I noticed that the guinea pigs can be conditioned by hearing different sounds and tones. They respond to voice commands, the sound of plastic bags and whistles. We thought it would be interesting to see how they behave when they hear the sound of a dog training whistle. Our first concerns was whether the whistle would sound at tonality that would be uncomfortable for the guinea pigs. This is pretty easy to measure because the whistle has different tones depending on how you adjust it.
None of the tones cause our guinea pigs to feel frighten or aggravated . So we began the training. Now let me tell you about this whistle. The whistle can be adjusted to make different sounds with the simple adjustable screw that allows sound frequency and a locknut that changes the pitch. It has a nice lanyard that measures 19 inches and the whistle can easily be disconnected from it. The whistle is a very sturdy metal with a classy look.
Check out the video below of my daughter explaining the features of the whistle. She makes a little joke about an alternate way of using the whistle, but she is just kidding please don't call PETA.
