NeilMed Naspira Babies & Kids By Dr Mehta

Having a sick baby is a very stressful.  Even the slightest cold can cause sleepless nights and restlessness.  I am a mother of four and understand the sleepless nights from tummy aches, stuffy noses and earaches from a little one.  I was recently contacted by Neilmed to review a few of their products. The products included a nasal-oral aspirator, A neti pot and a sinus rinse.

Ironically, when my package from Neilmed arrived my son had a runny nose.  He is 18 months and teaching him how to blow his nose is tasking.  I've used a nose bulb, and other aspirators and the traditional methods but always had issues with him resisting.  However, I used the NeilMed Naspira and he had a different reaction.  His instinctual reaction in the beginning was to fight against the aspirator because he understands that I have previously used similar techniques to clean his nose.  But, naturally as a mother I was able to combat his fight and used the aspirator.  He was in a little disbelief at how it worked.  His nose cleared with the first use and he began to giggle in the process.   He seemed more assured by this method and was less fearful once he understood it.

The Neilmed Naspira is very easy to use,  you simply put the straw in your mouth and place the bulb end into the baby's nose.  With a simple inhale through the straw you will draw the mucus out of your infants nose. I understand that sounds a bit off, but you can decide if its worth it to relieve your child's congestion.  My son was very grateful when I used the bulb.  He actually clapped when he realized his nose was free and he could breath easier.

The Aspirator is very easy to clean as well.  It also comes with 7 replacement filters and can be cleaned out with warm soapy water.  If you are interested in purchasing a NeilMed Naspira for your infant please click the following link .
