Rzashida Reviews - Hoda How I Survived War Zones, Bad Hair, Cancer and Kathie Lee

I don’t watch The Today Show, Good Morning America , Date Line or 20/20.  Those shows do not fit into my lifestyle or even grab my interest.  However, one day when I was flipping through channels I saw Kathie Lee and some sandy hair woman debating.  The woman was acting very passive aggressive and irritating the hell out of Kathie Lee.  I am no Kathie Lee fan but to watch her and this woman go at it was very entertaining to me. Years later I was walking through the library and looking for a great book to read.  Out of nowhere pops up a book with the sandy haired woman on it.  I picked the book up to discover Hoda Kotb.

The only thing I knew about Hoda is that she is kind of funny, so I was ready to learn more.  Well as I read the book I was defiantly reminded of Hoda’s humor and I was amazed by her very structure yet adventurous life.  She has been many places and seen many things and humbly speaks of them as if it is common.  Despite all her adventures she still is a family oriented person and gives such a candid description of her family, that you began to feel as if you know them.

Hoda is also very courageous when It rains it pours and she stays armed with her umbrella.  There is a time when Hoda was going through a serious thunderstorm and she didn’t curl up in the corner to die.  She accepted things, got up, and kept living.  I admire her strength, humor, ambitous and how cautious she is of her hair.

I also like how this book is outlined.  In the beginning of the book you meet Hoda and her family.  You grow attach to them and you grow up through the eyes of Hoda.  Next you see the hustle and understand how she got  where she is today. Lastly, After you feel you know Hoda and all her friends she gives you a detailed where are they now preview, just incase you were curious. She even leaves you with a tid bit of what her future holds and you can determine if that happens or not.

  1. I don't watch their show either, but I have seen snippets from time to time and they seem to work well together. Well, at least in those clips.
