As a person with natural hair, what I put in my hair is very important to me. I prefer not to use beauty products that have chemicals in them. I try to avoid parabens, Sodium lauryl sulfate, and lye. I had the opportunity to try Pura D’Or shampoo, conditioner and Argan oil. It is a gluten free product that does not contain SLS, and they state that all their ingredients are grown on trees. The Shampoo is used to prevent hair loss, the conditioner is a Argan oil based conditioner and the 1 oz Pura D’Or Argan oil is 100 percent Argan oil without any additives, fillers or blends.
I have very full thick locs and often have a problem getting most natural based products to lather in my hair. Pura D’Or Shampoo had no problem creating a lather and gave my hair a minty, tingly feeling that made me as if my scalp was able to breathe. The texture of the shampoo was very thick unlike most natural based shampoos, which have a very watery consistency. A little drop of the shampoo goes a long way and coats the hair fully. This shampoo contains 12 DHT Blockers, creates thicker hair, and prevents hair loss.
The Organic Argan Oil Based Conditioner is known for adding texture, shine and volume to your hair. However, with my hair it is not necessary to have shiny locs. What I do like about the conditioner is that the organic ingredients are beneficial to my hair. It is free of artificial fragrance, colors , and harsh preservatives. The ingredients are 99% vegetable based and contains coconut and vegetable proteins. The conditioner repairs damage hair from root to tip. Not to mention that it contains Argan oil, which has vitamin E, to promotes hair growth by boosting cells.
The Pura D’or Argan oil is great for hair but it has other uses too. It reduces the brittleness of fingernails. It also helps with skin elasticity and can prevent stretch marks. It also can restore nutrients to cells and reduce scars. Argan oil has been called the liquid gold for it’s many benefits. I enjoyed all three of the Pura D’or products and so did my hair.
