My family and I decided to check out Genji Japanese Steakhouse in Omaha, Nebraska. The food and the atmosphere was absolutely marvelous. The restaurant prepares a wonderful meal right in front of your eyes. I started out my meal with a fresh salad, with ginger dressing. I loved it usually when you are in a restaurant you don't take notice to the salads but the flavors were spectacular. They also brought us a soup which was very satisfying in the cold Nebraska winter.
After the salad the chef introduced himself and fired up the grill. It was very impressive since he had a variety of culinary techniques of entertaining. The chef also had a great sense of humor and never got off track while preparing the meal. The fried rice that he prepared had a lot of vegetables and wonderful flavor. He also provided a few sauces to compliment the meal. I ordered the Atlantic Salmon which came with rice and veggies. It was absolutely fabulous. I also had a Mango Mai Tai, which was a very sexy drink and I enjoyed it very much.
Genji Japanese Steakhouse was not too expensive. My family of five paid $140 for our meal which included 2 childrens meal, three adult portions a appetizer, 2 (fancy lemonades) 1 soda , a beer and my mai tai. However, it was worth the price we were entertained the entire time and everything tasted awesome. If you ever are in Omaha, NE and feel like eating at a wonderful restaurant try Genji Japanese Steak House.
